Before starting, please note that today’s article was inspired by a TikTok from one of my favorite creators. His handle on social media is HqKay (link to the tiktok I mentionned : https://www.tiktok.com/@hq_kay/video/7460204834348600622?_t=ZP-8uxvnOnO0P0&_r=1).

Now that this has been disclosed, please read the title again!

Yes, read that again. Money is not real… for rich people. To you and me, money is a necessity to survive. We need our paychecks to get by in this capitalistic world. If your paycheck didn’t clear this week, you might not be able to pay for food.

If you gave me 1 billion USD today, I would be shaking my ass on a boat, with my friends and family taken care of for life.

But to the 0.1%—the multi-billionaires of this world—money is no longer real. And that’s why they crave power. The perfect example? Musk, Trump, and others like them. When you can buy everything that possibly exists, when people grovel at your feet for their daily sustenance and to please you—what else is left to desire?

You want power. Power over the minds of others. Power over the bodies of others. You want YOUR WAY, or NO WAY. You start by trying to conquer a city, a widely used platform (i.e., Twitter), or a country (The United States of America)—and then you want more and more and more.

The appetite for power is never satisfied. The more you gain, the more you want.

That’s why you see men like Zuckerberg giving interviews to Joe Rogan, claiming there isn’t enough « masculinity » in the corporate world. Mind you there is only 3 women in the board of Meta, how feminine it could be ?

As a poor person, you won’t understand why he feels the need to say that. Because you cannot fathom having ONE BILLION USD and not simply enjoying life with your friends and family. You cannot imagine it because you do not have it.

Personally, I do not believe in ethical billionaires. And I say that as someone who loves money.

And that’s one of the reason, I never want to accumulate a certain amount of wealth. Of course, I desire to be rich—comfortable enough. A few million dollars would be enough (hahaha). I am well aware of the world we live in, and money does buy a certain level of happiness that I want and need.

But I intrinsically know that after a certain amount of riches, it will inevitably change you—even the best human being do change. I do not want to be faced with choices that could irreversibly change the lives of thousands of people.

Of course, there are nuances. There are billionaires I do not dislike—Mark Cuban, MacKenzie Scott, and a few others.

But I am not naive. I know that they, too, contribute to this system and are not entirely ethical. You cannot accumulate this level of wealth without profiting off those who are less fortunate. That said, I believe some of them do try to help, even if they are not obviously renounce their wealth.

And if my core belief is that there is no such thing as an ethical billionaire, then I certainly won’t give more credit than necessary to those who blatantly despise my existence. Too many people think that facts are not real and that freedom of speech means they can freely be racist, sexist, etc.

I could write 100,000 words on what I think of people like Zuckerberg, Musk, Trump, and their ilk. But let’s save that for a full article—one day! Most likely within the next four years, as we will be living under the Trump administration for at least four more years. The impact will be felt across the entire planet.

Be prepared. Educate yourselves. Diversify your sources of information. Strengthen your critical thinking skills. Don’t trust anyone blindly—do your own research.

I am writing this to share my personal opinion but also to spark introspection in each of my readers. There are many nuances to discuss, but the opinions I am sharing reflect my core beliefs as of today.

Thank you for reading, and see you next time!
